Nominations Open for 2023 Citizen Of The Year

Nominations for the 2023 Oustanding Citizen of the Year are now being accepted.

This honor is bestowed annually to local citizens who have shown outstanding community spirit and a commitment to the betterment of the community throughout their lifetime. Selection is based not only on the nominee’s commitment to the community and participation in varied community activities and civic enterprises but also on evidence of personal and business progress and cooperation with individuals and civic organizations. Sponsor references are also taken into consideration. An anonymous committee is selected to judge each nominee’s achievements and the nature of service to the community and to pick the most outstanding and deserving nominees.

Nominations must be delivered to the Chamber of Commerce in a sealed envelope marked “Nomination – Outstanding Citizen” by 5 pm, Friday, February 9, 2024. The recipient will be revealed at the Annual Chamber Banquet, February 29, 2024.
