Ambassador’s Meeting Minutes April 2023 by Laura Thornton
The April 2023 meeting for the Fort Stockton Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors was held at noon on April 11, 2023, in the meeting room of the Chamber. Letricia Slater, Jeanette Milam, Remie Ramos, Laura Thornton, Angela Harral, Isai Rojas, Kerri Geilling, Anita Gandy, Keith Weyerts, Angel Sorola, Monica Iverson, Melba Montoya, Leslie Davis, and Arna McCorkle were all in attendance.
Letricia made the call to order, and Kerri led the invocation.
The minutes for the February meeting were read. Keith motioned to approve the minutes, and Jeanette seconded the motion.
The Lila Safe House was presented with a check for their assistance with the Comanche Springs Rodeo.
The Rodeo Committee in attendance was presented with a “Rock Star” thank you from Focused Care for including the residents in the Rodeo activities.
The group then discussed the following upcoming community events:
- April 12 Cactus Health 20th Anniversary
- April 15 4H Auction
- April 20 Ag “Kids, Cows & More” Field Day at the Coliseum
- April 21-22 BBORR
- May 4th Focused Care Meet and Greet
- May 4th Lila Smith All Ages Self Defense and Mediation
- May 17 Mother’s Day Tea at Focused Care
- June 2nd Karan Hefflefinger’s Moving/Retirement Party and Dance
A call to adjourn was made. Angela made the motion and Keith seconded.
