Fort Stockton Outstanding Citizens of the Year

This honor is bestowed annually to local citizens who have shown outstanding community spirit and a commitment to the betterment of the community throughout their lifetime. Selection is based not only on the nominee’s commitment to the community and participation in varied community activities and civic enterprises but also on evidence of personal and business progress and cooperation with individuals and civic organizations. Sponsor references are also taken into consideration. An anonymous committee is selected to judge each nominee’s achievements and the nature of service to the community and to pick the most outstanding and deserving nominees. The recipient is honored at the annual Chamber Banquet.
