Ambassador’s Meeting Minutes February 2023 by Laura Thornton
The February 2023 meeting for the Fort Stockton Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors was held at noon on February 14, 2023 in the meeting room of the Chamber. Letricia Slater, Jeanette Milam, Karan Heffelfinger, Remie Ramos, Laura Thornton, Angela Harral, Karin Milliner, Irma Fuentes, Anita Gandy, Keith Weyerts, Veronica Lopez-CCarrasco, Melba Montoya and Arna McCorkle were all in attendance.
Letricia made the call to order and Angela led the invocation.
The minutes for the January meeting were read. Karan motioned to approve the minutes, and Angela seconded the motion.
The group then discussed the following upcoming community events:
- February 14th Valentines Day
- February 21st Decorating for the banquet begins. Arna will be there all day on that day
- February 23rd The Chamber Banquet. The theme is “Lighting the Way”. Aspen Walsh will be MC. Tickets are on sale at the Chamber for $20 a person or tables of 10 are available for $200.
- March 7th Lion’s Club will be hosting a Pancake Supper in conjunction with the Middle School Open House. Tickets are avaible for $10 per person from Lion’s Club members. The Open House will feature concerts, Meet the Teacher, and a science fair as well
- March 23rd-25th Comanche Springs Rodeo. 23rd will be Slack with free entry for the evening. Ambassadors are asked to bring food trays for the hospitality room on the 24th and 25th. There will be a dance featuring the State Liners following the rodeo on the 24th.
- March 30th Dinner Tonight Healthy Cooking School will be at the Large Community Hall from 5-8 pm
A call to adjourn was made. Angela made the motion and Remie seconded.
