Ambassadors are the volunteer division of the Chamber made up of representatives of Chamber members that work to promote awareness of important events and significant occasions in the life of our community. They join organizations and businesses in celebration of milestones and are the powerhouse workforce behind making Chamber events possible. They are also the spokespeople for the Chamber and business community in Fort Stockton.
Chamber Ambassadors meet on the second Tuesday monthly at 12 noon at the Chamber of Commerce
Working together to make Fort Stockton the SHINING STAR OF TEXAS
Ambassadors perform a wide variety of duties in the Chamber, but their main function is to help promote the Chamber, welcome new Members to the Chamber, and make Chamber events successful and enjoyable for everyone. They are a special group of people who volunteer their time to help promote the Fort Stockton business community and support Chamber functions.
Ambassadors utilize their networking skills to provide a communication link between the Chamber, its members, and the community. Current, new, and prospective members can be introduced to fellow members and new business opportunities by Ambassadors.
Ambassadors…
- Shop at member businesses
- Advertise member businesses through social media and word of mouth
- Attend grand openings, ribbon cuttings, and other Chamber and member events
Monthly lunch meetings help Ambassadors stay informed and motivated about local businesses and Chamber activities. Ambassadors understand and promote the mission of the Chamber, and encourage others to do the same.
Ambassadors assist in the planning and implementation of membership drives, attend Chamber events, and encourage member business involvement. The goal and messages of the Chamber are carried to members through the Ambassadors as they disseminate information to members and the community. Ambassadors inform members about upcoming seminars, training opportunities, networking events, and more. They help to familiarize current and prospective members about the Chamber and its services and benefits. By connecting the members with these services, Ambassadors help the business get the greatest return on their membership investment. The more members are connected to the services of the Chamber, the more likely they are to continue their support.
Ambassadors are selected for dependability, integrity, energy, and communication skills. The Ambassador program offers volunteers the opportunity to develop new contacts on a professional level.
Recognition: In addition to the “Ambassador of the Year” award given at the Annual Chamber Banquet, the Chamber also presents awards for the top Ambassador on a quarterly basis. Ambassadors and their associated businesses will be recognized in press releases, social media, newsletters, and more! Ambassadors are constantly building a successful network for themselves and for their businesses.
While Ambassadors represent the Chamber, they do not speak FOR the Chamber and are not responsible for its day-to-day operations or policies. These roles are the responsibility of the Chamber Director and Board of Directors respectively.
EARN RECOGNITION, DEVELOP NEW PROFESSIONAL CONTACTS, AND MAKE WAVES IN THE LOCAL BUSINESS COMMUNITY!
